Job summary

W International in Goose Creek, SC is seeking a Laser Tracker Operator to verify that manufactured and purchased parts conform to drawings using laser trackers and CMM arms. You will create programs for Laser Tracker from part drawings and CAD models, provide dimensional data to subassembly, and generate dimensional inspection reports, ensuring final assemblies meet drawings' requirements.

Must have Spatial Analyzer experience and GD&T knowledge.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience using Spatial Analyzer.
• Solid knowledge of inspection methods, procedures, equipment, and layouts.
• Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Solid technical communication skills.
• Ability to stand continuously for long periods.
• Willing to work >40 hours per week.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Reports directly to the Quality Supervisor.
• Verifies that manufactured and purchased parts conform to drawings using laser trackers and CMM arms.
• Provides subassembly personnel with dimensional data when adjustments are required to meet final dimensional requirements.
• Provide layouts and assistance with fitting on requested assemblies.
• Verifies that final assemblies meet dimensional requirements specified by drawings.
• Create programs for Laser Tracker from part drawings and CAD models.
• Create dimensional inspection reports from gathered data and document any non-conformance.
• Working knowledge of AS 9100 and ISO 9001 requirements.

• Must have good technical communication skills
• Ability to stand continuously for long periods of time
• Willing to work in excess of 40 hours a week
• High school or equivalent

Preferred Skills:

Prefer technical education, machining experience, or technical on the job training/ PCMM and survey equipment.
