Job summary

First Solar Inc. is offering an internship across multiple departments including R&D, marketing, project development, IT, engineering, and energy services.

Interns will gain hands-on experience, solve meaningful problems, and contribute to a cleaner energy future while learning to present technical data to leadership. The program runs Spring 2027, January 4 through May 17, with flexibility to enroll in classes.

Responsibilities

• Help execute tests and experiments to optimize laser processes.
• Attention to detail and summarizing experimental data.
• Ability to clearly and regularly present technical data.
• Be able to work in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple tasks.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Intern will lead optimization of a laser scribe process on our perovskite development project.
• Upon the completion of this internship, the intern is required to present their accomplishments and project summary to the leadership team.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education

BS in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics or Materials Science preferred
