Job summary

CTI is seeking a CNC Tube Laser Operator in Locust, NC to join our manufacturing team. You will operate state-of-the-art tube laser equipment to produce precision-cut parts and support quality products for diverse industries.

The role starts with competitive hourly pay and shift premiums aligned with experience and performance. Starting pay is up to $28.00/hr with an additional $2.00–$3.00/hr shift premium, and the overall salary range is $25.00–$30.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC production equipment, including tube lasers, flat lasers, plasma, or oxy-fuel cutting tables.
• Understanding of tolerances, dimensions, and precision manufacturing.
• Experience using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and gauges.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate automated CNC tube laser cutting equipment.
• Monitor machine performance to maximize efficiency and uptime.
• Load raw materials and ensure continuous production.
• Inspect finished parts to verify quality and accuracy.
• Read blueprints and follow detailed specifications.
• Make machine adjustments to maintain quality standards.
• Sort, package, and prepare finished products for shipment.
• Identify and properly handle non-conforming material.
• Complete production records and documentation.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.

What You'll Do

• As a Tube Laser Operator, you'll play a key role in our production process by:
• Operating automated CNC tube laser cutting equipment
• Monitoring machine performance to maximize efficiency and uptime
• Loading raw materials and ensuring continuous production
• Inspecting finished parts to verify quality and accuracy
• Reading blueprints and following detailed specifications
• Making machine adjustments to maintain quality standards
• Sorting, packaging, and preparing finished products for shipment
• Identifying and properly handling non-conforming material
• Completing production records and documentation
• Following all safety procedures and maintaining a clean work area
