Job summary

AOC Metal Works is seeking a Laser Operator to set up, run, and maintain laser machines for precise metal cutting and engraving. The role focuses on quality, requires reading blueprints, and strict adherence to safety protocols to ensure efficient production.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED with 2–3 years in a similar industry, basic computer skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Flexible Saturdays may be required in a fast-paced facility.

Qualifications

• Reading blueprints or drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written processes.
• Ability to learn quickly and read work orders.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust and operate turret punch/laser combination and ensure optimal laser cutting conditions.
• Read blueprints/drawings and load materials; select programs and tools.
• Maintain safety and quality standards; perform inspections and deburr as needed.
• Package and move finished products to the correct location.
• Monitor equipment wear and coordinate with maintenance; contribute to tooling and lean improvements.
• Assist with other duties and follow all company policies and safety procedures.
