Glenn Metalcraft Inc is seeking a Laser Operator I to join our Princeton, MN team. Under supervision, you will operate laser production equipment and help meet daily production targets while following safety policies and quality checks.

The role requires basic reading of setup sheets, ability to adjust machines, and the capability to read blueprints with basic measurement tools. Dedicated to teamwork and continuous improvement, you will contribute to a clean, safe, efficient shop floor.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 0-12 mos cutting experience is acceptable.
• Able to read blueprints and use precision measurement tools.

Responsibilities

• Operate laser production equipment safely and efficiently.
• Report daily production quantities and ensure parts per hour targets.
• Perform quality checks on products and document results.
• Set up workstation per safety standards and adjust machines as needed.
• Maintain organized work area and assist with tool setup.

Job Details: Job Location: Glenn Metalcraft Inc - Princeton, MN 55371, Salary Range: $19.00 - $21.00 Hourly, We are seeking a Laser Operator I to join our team at Glenn Metalcraft. Under immediate supervision, this position operates and is proficient in operating one or more types of Laser production equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• General understanding of laser machinery and equipment necessary to produce metal components
• Must follow all safety policies and procedures, including lockout/Tag out
• Understand and accurately report daily production quantities to meet set number of parts per hour
• Consistent and accurate counts of materials and products
• Performs necessary quality checks on product and completes daily communication
• Ability to perform basic adjustments and repairs to machines with assistance
• Ability to set up workstation according to safety standards to perform maximum efficiency
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and maintain all equipment according to established procedures.
• Maintain a positive attitude with customers, clients, co-workers, and management
• Ability to change out tooling for machines
• Ability to complete the first part approval process for all jobs
• Accurately check out tools through tool crib inventory system
• May assist with machine set up
• Ability to read, write and save setup sheets for various machines
• Ability to deburr parts, stack, and label

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred
• 0-12 mos. cutting experience required

Skills and Competencies

• Ability to safely perform work in varying work conditions
• Working knowledge of machinery with previous experience in manufacturing environment preferred
• Ability to understand and follow instructions
• Effective problem-solving skills/detailed oriented/sense of urgency
• Ability to read blueprints and use measurement devices such as calipers, micrometers, and Faro Arm
• Ability to be forklift certified
• Ability to follow hoist safety protocols
• Self-motivated, takes initiative

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 40 lbs. on a consistent basis
• Ability to stand for up to 10 hours
• Excellent hand/eye coordination
• Demonstrated ability to effectively use power tools
• Good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina
• Ability to consistently wear personal protective equipment
• Ability to work in production facility with fluctuating temperatures and humidity levels
