We are looking for a Fabricator 3, operating lasers to join our 100% EMPLOYEE-OWNED team.

First Shift: Monday-Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm

Minimum Job Requirements
  • Physical- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. with assistance. Capability of standing and bending over for long periods of time while performing manual labor and visually inspecting highly cosmetic parts with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Working Hours- Fulltime employment (40hrs/week)
  • Personal Traits- Excellent communication skills with positive teamwork and safety attitude. Conscientious attention to detail and accuracy while able to multi-task and trouble shoot. Possess the willingness and ability to effectively pass on personal fabrication knowledge with fellow employees of lesser ability.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Work safely and ensure hazardous conditions are eliminated. Follow company safety procedures.
  • The ability to set up and operate variety of fabrication equipment and hand tools as trained including:
    • Run timesaver or other deburring machinery including hand and power tools to remove burrs and sharp edges and shape parts according to specifications.
    • Riveting tools
    • Rollers
    • Shear
    • Insertion machines
  • Follow all company policies and procedures as outlined in the handbook and other company documents.
  • Ensure the highest quality standards are met with all work done.
  • Ensure output meets required deadlines while executing above.
  • Ensure ISO/AS quality system and safety procedures are followed.
  • Ensure all tools required to complete job are supplied.
  • Set-up and run all jobs per above, including first time runs.
  • Edit programs at the machine as needed.
  • Work independently and multi-task.
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance and upkeep of fabrication department equipment and tooling.
  • Ensure departmental communication is accurate and effective.
  • Audit of work completed to ensure highest quality standards.
  • Arrive to work in a punctual manner and be willing to work overtime when needed.
  • Accurately maintain MES system as instructed.
  • Maintain neat and clean work area.
  • Other ad hoc duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to set-up and run jobs (including first time runs) Safely, and within quality and efficiency expectations on all of One Process using the following equipment; all Punches, Lasers, Brake Presses (manual or robotic).
  • Considerable knowledge to perform routine and preventative maintenance and upkeep of equipment as well as the instruments used.
  • Ability to comprehend basic GD&T.
  • Ability to interpret data from manual measurements and make adjustments to processes to achieve dimensional and visual compliance.
  • Ability to edit programs at the machine.
  • Ability to assist in driving continuous improvement through improving the processes, reducing cycle time, reducing setup time, and other methods as needed
  • Ability to set-up and run production parts within quality and efficiency expectations after training to safely operate shop equipment.
  • Interpret shop drawings, work packets & fabrication set up sheets.
  • Possess good math, writing and computer skills.
  • Understand and use basic measurement tools in the fabrication process including but not limited to tape measures, caliper, etc.
  • Be proficient in quality assurance self-checks that pass all internal & external quality control inspections.
  • Demonstrate a basic understanding of metal fabrication hand tools.
Education and Experience

At least 5 years of experience in similar function or two years of internal experience.

Handles Machine Operator 2

Minimum Job Requirements

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Timely completion of job functions. Adhere to ISO-9001 quality systems. Work with various machines in a safe and efficient manner while following applicable work instructions. Operational inspection of handles in conformance with the customer aesthetic standard. Responsible for producing quality workmanship, which meets or exceeds customer requirements.
Inspector/Packer
  • Understand and follow all safety procedures for this operation.
  • Inspect and pack parts in conformance with specifications and meet daily required production assignments.
  • Understand the customer's visual aesthetic requirements and utilize these requirements when inspecting parts.
  • Perform the final inspection on all production parts in the handles department.
Drill/Tap Machine Operations
  • Understand and follow all safety procedures for this operation.
  • Set up drill machines as specified by job traveler.
  • Drill and tap handles to meet daily production requirements.
  • Maintain and clean drill machines.
  • Measure using appropriate equipment and record data as required by control plan.
Insert Machines
  • Understand and follow all safety procedures for this operation.
  • Set up and maintain both machines.
  • Insert handle tube and measure to ensure quality part per the job traveler. Meet daily production requirements.
Brake Press Operation
  • Understand and follow all safety procedures for this operation.
  • Set-up, operate brake press in a safe manor with our special dies.
  • Learn and use the safety features on the brake press.
  • Adjust brake press to maintain the dimensional and visual standards set by our customer.
  • Use measuring equipment and inspect product to ensure customer specifications are met.
  • Have the ability to maintain brake press dies.
  • Pull maintenance requirements as spelled out in the maintenance log.
Centerless Grinder Operation
  • Understand and follow all safety procedures for this operation.
  • Set-up, operate grinders in a safe manor with our special dies.
  • Inspect product during process to ensure customer specifications are met.
  • Adjust grinder so handles meet visual standards set by our customer.
  • Pull maintenance on grinders and dust collectors as required to keep grinders working properly.
Saw Operation
  • Understand and follow all safety procedures for this operation.
  • Set up and operate saw in a safe manor.
  • Identify material required for handle order that is in process.
  • Measure and record parts to length as per customer standards and requirements.
  • Inspect parts during the process to make sure they meet the customer specifications.
  • Adjust the saw so the handles meet visual standards set by our customer.
  • Pull maintenance on the saw and loader as required to keep the saw working properly.
Autopulit Grinder
  • Understand and follow all safety procedures for this operation.
  • Set up the grinder heads, drive wheels, roller track and knife height as require for each diameter handle so machine can be operated in a safe manor.
  • Identify parts in order to make sure parts have been identified correctly.
  • Operate the computer to perform the correct operation to the handle presented.
  • Adjust the Autopulit so the handles meet visual standards set by our customer.
  • Pull maintenance on the Autopulit as required to keep the saw working properly.
Bridgeport Machining Center
  • Understand and follow all safety procedures for this operation.
  • Set up and operate the machining center in a safe manor.
  • Measure and record dimensions so part is to customer specification.
  • Inspect handle so it meets the customer requirements.
  • Maintain controller so programs can be accepted.
  • Pull maintenance on the machining center as required to keep the machining center working properly.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Possess the ability to follow direction.
  • Ability to grind and polish handles that consistently meet or exceed specifications.
  • Ability to perform one or more additional specialized operations within the department above and beyond the Operator I level.
  • Ability to inspect product to ensure good parts within the job function.
  • Basic Math Skills
Education and Experience

Manufacturing shop, metal finishing experience required.
