Job summary

Life Fitness is seeking a Laser Operator for the 2nd shift in Ramsey, MN. You will set up and run laser equipment, load raw steel, inspect parts, and ensure safety and quality. From setup sheets and Kanban, you’ll communicate shortages and log daily production details.

Salary ranges $23.00–$27.88/hour with a $2 shift differential. Benefits include 401(k) with 4% match, medical/dental/vision, PTO, and more. Full-time, equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in metal fabrication or laser operation.
• Ability to read tape measures and blueprints (standard and metric).
• Basic math skills (add/subtract/multiply/divide).
• Good English communication skills (spoken/written).
• Proficient with a computer for laser operation logs.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate and adjust laser machinery per setup sheets and Kanban cards.
• Operator the laser computer and load raw steel; unload finished parts.
• Visually inspect raw steel and finished jobs for quality.
• Report shortages or quality issues to lead/supervisor.
• Accurately count pieces and tag with date, quantity, and producer.
• Complete paperwork correctly and on time; perform daily PM logging.
• Operate hoist and manual pallet jack.
