Job summary

Samuel, Son & Co. is seeking a Laser Operator to support Samuel Associated Tube Group in Birmingham, Alabama. You will safely operate laser equipment to process carbon steel tubular products and perform initial quality checks.

The role requires reading blueprints, using a digital length gauge, calipers and micrometers, and maintaining production records. Shift work may be required, and you will contribute to timely, accurate manufacturing while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing setting with industrial equipment.
• Understanding of fabrication component parts.
• Ability to read blueprints and measure with gauges.
• Strong mechanical skills and proficiency with metric measurements.
• Shift work may be required.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate the lasers to process carbon steel tubular products.
• Perform quality checks to ensure products meet specifications.
• Address quality issues in a timely fashion to ensure issues are resolved.
• Responsible for ensuring materials are available to maintain production efficiency.
• Operates equipment within general work instructions.
• Maintains production related records.
