Direct Mail Solutions (DMS), a leading full-service mail and logistics company based in Richmond, VA, is looking for a reliable and detail-focused Laser Operator to join our Production team. If you have experience operating continuous printers, enjoy a fast-paced production environment, and take pride in producing accurate, high-quality work, this opportunity is for you!

Pay: $17.00-$18.00/Hourly

Position Overview: As a Laser Operator, you'll play an important role in the production process by setting up and operating continuous printers . This full-time, production-based role focuses on efficiently running print jobs, monitoring equipment, troubleshooting issues, and supporting overall department productivity.

What You'll Do:

• Set up and operate continuous printers to complete production jobs accurately and efficiently.
• Monitor laser printers during production and identify potential issues that could impact quality, productivity, or operational status.
• Take appropriate corrective action to resolve equipment or production issues and help minimize downtime.
• Follow job specifications and production procedures to ensure accurate and high-quality output.
• Perform regular checks throughout production to ensure jobs are running properly and meet established standards.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding production needs, equipment issues, and job status.
• Provide support in other areas as needed to help maximize overall department productivity.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Be flexible and available for overtime as needed to meet production goals.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working with continuous printers is preferred.
• Prior experience in the print or production industry is strongly preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge and the ability to learn and operate production equipment and software.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Tenacious attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate work.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems and identify appropriate corrective actions.
• Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and meet deadlines.
• Must be willing and available to work overtime as needed.

• Prior experience operating continuous printers
• Previous print, mailing, or production industry experience

Schedule:

Day Shift: 3 days per week, 6:00 AM to 7:30 PM (Enjoy a 3-day work week with full-time hours!)
