Job summary

gpac is hiring a Laser Machine Operator in Logan, Utah. The role requires setup and operation of the Laser machine, rollers, brake presses and related equipment in the weld/fabrication department.

You will read blueprints, verify measurements, and program in Mastercam. Collaboration with project managers and shop leads ensures accuracy and timely job completion while maintaining clean, organized work areas and inventory control.

Qualifications

• 5 years of machining experience.
• Proficient in Mastercam, at least 1 year experience.
• Completion of a machining program from an accredited trade school.
• Must be eligible to work in the US.

Responsibilities

• Program, setup, and operate the Laser cutter. Operate rollers, brake presses and machine polishers.
• Read, verify, and understand blue prints and measurements; interpret job traveler; work and program in Mastercam.
• Keep up-to-date on new software specific to laser machine.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Shop Foreman, Drafters, and Team Lead to ensure accuracy and success.
• Understand current job and machine processes; manage inventory of material for designated machines.
• Follow directions from Team Lead, Shop Foreman, and General Manager to facilitate work processes.
• Maintain a clean workspace including regular cleaning of machines and equipment.
