Job summary

Arthrex, Inc. is seeking a Laser/EDM Machine Operator for the Pendleton, SC site on the Weekend Shift (Friday through Sunday, 6 am to 6 pm). You will operate Laser, EDM, and related equipment, inspect parts, and ensure GMP-compliant documentation and quality standards.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma (or equivalent) and at least 6 months of machine operating experience, with good measurement skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 6 months of machine operating experience required.
• Read and follow work instructions.
• Basic to Laser/EDM skills required.
• Proficient with measuring equipment and GMP.
• Able to work independently when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Operate Assembly, Laser Mark, Laser Weld, and EDM equipment in accordance with work instructions.
• Inspect machined parts to specifications based on correct AQL.
• Verify inspection tools issued to the job are available and correct.
• Receive and verify work orders and confirm components are correct.
• Notify Supervisor or Lead if equipment is not operating properly.
• Meet required Production and Quality Standards.
• Complete necessary documentation with accuracy and minimal errors.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Notify Crew Coordinator or Supervisor of safety or production issues.

Arthrex is actively searching for a Laser/EDM Machine Operator for our Pendleton, SC manufacturing location on Weekend Shift (Friday through Sunday, 6 am to 6 pm). Main Objective:

To produce superior products following Arthrex Manufacturing Inc. machining processes and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operation of Assembly, Laser Mark, Laser Weld, and EDM equipment in accordance to work instructions
• Inspect machined work piece to specifications, based on correct AQL
• Verify inspection tools issued to job are available and correct
• Receives and verifies work order and verifies that the components are correct
• Notifies Supervisor or Lead if equipment is not operating properly
• Meets required Production and Quality Standards.
• Completes necessary documentation with accuracy and minimal errors
• Keeps work area clean and organized
• Notifies Crew Coordinator or Supervisor of and safety or production issues

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• 6 months of machine operating experience required

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

• The ability to perform written tasks by reading, understanding and following work instructions provided
• Basic to Laser/EDM skills.
• Proficient with measuring equipment and instruments.
• General knowledge of tool life.
• Proper use of Good Documentation Practice (GMP)
• Use Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), as required
• Ability to work independently when necessary

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

Knowledge of Laser and EDM machines.

Physical Demands:

Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.

Vision Requirements:

Visual acuity necessary to do the job safely and effectively.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
