Job summary

American Metal Specialties, Inc. is seeking a Laser Machine Operator to set up, operate, and maintain laser cutting equipment. You will coordinate with the Laser Programmer and handle related warehouse tasks as needed.

The role requires hands-on laser operation experience, the ability to read blueprints, and proficiency with CNC/laser programs. On-the-job training is provided, with full-time hours and a shift that runs Fri–Sun.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years laser machine operation experience.
• Able to read blueprints and digital files accurately.
• Proficient in loading/editing CNC/laser programs.
• Forklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload material using forklift.
• Clean lens, align and change nozzle.
• Operate forklifts.
• Load, edit and delete programs.
• Measure parts with calipers, mics, etc.
• Read prints to ensure conformance.
• Maintain safe and efficient work area.
