Job summary

Jefferson Health in Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania, seeks a Board Certified/Board Eligible, Fellowship-Trained Laryngologist to join the Institute for Surgical Excellence. This role offers leadership and the chance to develop a future Laryngology Fellowship within a premier academic health system.

You will contribute to education, research, and innovative patient care while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team and pursuing academic appointments through Thomas Jefferson University.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree required and board certification/eligibility in Otolaryngology‑Head & Neck Surgery.
  • Fellowship training in Laryngology is required or strongly preferred.
  • Eligible for Pennsylvania medical licensure is expected.
  • Demonstrated passion for clinical excellence, education, and program development.
  • Academic interest including teaching and research is valued.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and operation of a comprehensive laryngology program.
  • Teach residents and medical students within an academic environment.
  • Build a Laryngology Fellowship and participate in scholarly activities.
  • Engage in collaborative clinical research and new program development.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship within the department.

Comprehensive Laryngology Practice

Develop a robust referral practice caring for patients with:

  • Voice disorders
  • Airway disorders
  • Swallowing dysfunction
  • Professional voice care
  • Benign and complex laryngeal disease
  • Office‑based and operative laryngology procedures

Practice with advanced technology while collaborating closely with speech‑language pathologists, head and neck surgeons, pulmonologists, gastroenterologists, neurologists, and other subspecialists to provide comprehensive patient care.
