Job summary

Hunt Electric, Inc. seeks an Electrical Estimator to join our Salt Lake City office. This full-time role focuses on bidding electrical work, preparing estimates, and managing preconstruction budgets and schedules.

Healthcare projects experience is preferred as you coordinate with vendors, review drawings, and prepare bid documents. You will download drawings, perform take-offs, and present estimates to the electrical division manager.

Qualifications

• Superior communication and interpersonal (tact, diplomacy, influence, etc.) skills are essential.
• Must be able to multi-task and bid multiple projects at a time.
• Accubid/Construct Jobs proficiency required.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Bluebeam.
• Experience managing projects and electrical construction, design, finance, and management required.

Job description

Hunt Electric, Inc. is seeking a qualified candidate to fill our Electrical Estimator position to join our team in our Salt Lake City office. We are seeking a full time qualified candidate to be responsible for all aspects of bidding electrical work. The position requires a high level of electrical construction experience, and customer service to build and maintain relationships. Experience with healthcare projects and electrical background is preferred.

Major Duties:

• Bid and prepare cost estimates.
• Prepare and oversee preconstruction budgets and scheduling.
• Download drawings and bid documents.
• Review contract drawings and specifications.
• Reach out to vendors for quotes.
• Job site visits on remodel projects.
• Prepare bid letters and other documents as required for the bid.
• Prepare and present all take-offs, quotes, bid letters and other documents to the electrical division manager for review.
• Ability to estimate commercial, mixed-use, multi-dwelling, healthcare, and mission critical projects.
• Ability to manage multiple high-revenue projects.
• Actively contributes to a positive team environment.
• Demonstrates dependability with regular attendance and compliance to scheduled work hours.
• Demonstrate knowledge of the National Electric Code.
• Be a self-starter and be dependable.
  
• Other duties or locations as assigned by Manger.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Five plus years of electrical construction, design, finance, and two years' experience/knowledge of electrical project management experience required.
• A licensed electrician or an electrical background required.
• Must be able to multi-task. Bid multiple projects at a time.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time position with a typical working schedule of Monday - Thursday 7:00am - 4:30pm and Friday 7:00am - 2:00pm.
