American Electric Power in Columbus, OH seeks an experienced economist/forecasting professional to lead large-load forecasting and reporting efforts. You will collaborate with operating companies, FP&A, and regulatory teams to ensure forecasts reflect contractual commitments, customer development pipelines, and regulatory requirements.
The role includes ownership of Large Load assumptions, scenario planning, and executive reporting.

Are you ready to take on a role that influences billions of dollars in transmission, generation, and infrastructure planning decisions by ensuring large-load growth forecasts accurately reflect contractual commitments, customer development pipelines, regulatory requirements, and emerging trends? This position serves as a critical link between Operating Company economic development teams, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), and grid planning. This role is responsible for working directly with Operating Company economic development teams to collect and validate large-load growth forecasts and for tracking the performance of existing large-load customers against forecasted levels. The role will also manage internal and external large-load reporting. In addition, this position will have the opportunity to support other functions within the Economic Forecasting team, including AEP's total company load forecasting, forecast variance analysis, and economic impact analysis.

Compensation Data Compensation Grade: SP20-009 Compensation Range: $98,993.00 - $177,503.00
