Job summary

Archetype is seeking a Digital Print & Vinyl Technician to produce high-quality signage and graphic products using large-format printing and vinyl production equipment. The role covers file preparation, printing, finishing, and installation of banners, vehicle graphics, window films, wall murals, and dimensional sign faces.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, hands-on, and experienced in sign shop production workflows.

Qualifications

• Experience with large-format printing and vinyl production workflows.
• Knowledge of color management, ICC profiles, and print calibration.
• Experience using RIP software (Onyx, Flexi, Caldera, etc.).
• Basic electrical or fabrication knowledge for illuminated signage is a plus.
• OSHA or safety training is preferred for installation work.

Responsibilities

• Operate large-format printers (eco-solvent, latex, or UV) to produce signage and graphics.
• Set up and manage print jobs through RIP software.
• Monitor print quality, color consistency, and material usage.
• Perform routine printer maintenance and calibration.
• Operate vinyl plotters to produce cut graphics and decals.
• Prepare substrates and apply finishes for durability.
• Review work orders and proofs for accuracy before production.
• Inspect finished products and package orders for delivery or installation.
