Job summary

RedBuilt is hiring immediately for a Large Diesel Forklift Operator at our Delaware, OH facility. The role offers a safety-first environment, growth opportunities, and robust benefits.

Wage range is $20.00 to $27.00 hourly and reflects prior experience. Shifts are Monday–Friday, 6:00am–2:30pm with overtime and occasional weekends; stop by the office between 6:00am–2:30pm EST at 200 Colomet Drive, Delaware, OH for in-person interviews.

Qualifications

• Forklift trained and proficient, with preference for Large Diesel H150/H155/H165.
• Must be safety conscious and motivated to meet safety goals.
• Able to work in varying conditions and times; overtime and weekends as needed.
• Strong communication and teamwork to meet production goals.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-shift inspections of the lift.
• Operate forklifts in the 6,000–15,000 lb range.
• Handle yard dunnage, tarping, and load placement.
• Work from ladders and near arial platforms.
• Uphold safety procedures and contribute to productivity.

Shifts Available:

• Monday through Friday (6:00am – 2:30pm) with overtime and occasional weekends

• Conducting a daily RADAR assessment of tasks or processes to be conducted.
• Following, reviewing, updating, and creating new JI’s.
• Pre-shift inspection of the lift assigned.
• Operate lifts in the 6,000 to 15,000lb range.
• Getting on and off the lift multiple times a day (60% on, 40% off) on average.
• Picking up and placing yard dunnage as well as tarping and untarping loads.
• Working from both step and extension ladders.
• Working with and around arial platforms (working at height).

What does RedBuilt do?

Our Delaware, OH manufacturing facility builds engineered wood trusses, constructs wood wall panels, welds structural steel frames, and assembles job packages for delivery direct to the construction site.

What do we look for in a Large Diesel Forklift Operator?

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (Minimum Qualifications):

• Be safety conscious and motivated to exceed in department safety goals.
• Forklift trained and proficient (Preferred Large Diesel H150/H155/H165).
• Develop a basic knowledge of the product yard with organizational skills to maintain applicable product yard maps.
• Develop a basic knowledge of all RedBuilt products.
• Able to work in stressful situations and inclement weather conditions, while maintaining composure and safe work practices.
• Self-motivated, organized, and attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn all aspects of forklift operations for the plant and possibly shipping department.
• Must be flexible to work daily overtime, including the occasional weekend, if necessary.
• Be a team player to help achieve department production goals.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must have good communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• High School Diploma or GED(not required, but a plus!).

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to frequently walk, sit, and/or stand for prolonged periods of time.
• Ability to safely climb on and off lifttruck/forklift.li>
• Ability to occasionally bend, squat and/or stoop.
• Manual and finger dexterity as required to perform daily job duties.
• Frequently works near or around moving mechanical parts.
• Exposed to a high level of noise in the work environment.
• Exposed to airborne particles.
