Job summary

Kansas State University’s Veterinary Health Center in Manhattan, KS is hiring an Animal Technician I to support routine and specialized care of hospitalized animals and maintain a sanitary environment. You will assist with feeding, welfare, and daily operations under clinicians and staff supervision, with hours Monday through Friday, 12:00am–8:00am.

The position is on-site in a teaching hospital that provides comprehensive care, emergency services, and advanced therapies.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: Valid driver's license.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with large animals.
• One year of relevant experience.
• High school diploma.

Responsibilities

• Support routine and specialized care of hospitalized animals in the VHC.
• Assist with feeding and welfare of animals as directed by clinicians.
• Clean and disinfect large animal areas and equipment to meet standards.
• Maintain sanitary and safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.

Skills
