Job summary

The University of Pennsylvania New Bolton Center is seeking a Part Time Large Animal Attendant to join our veterinary team in Kennett Square, PA. Responsibilities include daily stall cleaning, feeding, and upkeep of hospital areas, with operation of motorized equipment.

Valid driver's license required; candidates should be able to perform strenuous work in varying weather and assist in patient recovery while maintaining safety and biosecurity protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 1–2 years of large animal handling experience preferred.
• Ability to operate motorized equipment including forklift, tractor and dump truck.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must perform strenuous work and tolerate weather, chemicals and allergens.

Responsibilities

• Perform general stall maintenance and cleanliness of patient areas, including multiple barns and ICU.
• Provide daily feed and water for patients.
• Operate motorized equipment such as forklift, tractor, and dump truck.
• Follow biosecurity protocols and attend required training.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and maintain composure in challenging situations.
• Assist in patient recovery and perform other duties as assigned.
