Job summary

Little League International in South Williamsport, PA is offering a Landscaping Internship for Summer 2027. Interns will learn by working with the Landscaper to care for lawns, shrubs, annuals and perennials, including mowing, pruning, planting, and landscape installation.

This is a hands-on program with on-site housing provided and flexible based on availability. The role is to support maintenance of the 72-acre complex and gain real-world experience in horticulture within a nonprofit youth

Qualifications

• Working toward an associates or undergraduate degree in Landscaping, Horticulture, or related field.
• Excellent work ethic.
• Knowledge of plant material including flowers, annuals and perennial plants.
• Knowledge of operating and maintaining landscaping equipment.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift at least 25 pounds.
• Flexible schedule including holidays, evenings, and weekends as needed.
• Must pass criminal background check.
• Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions.

Little League® International Landscaping Internship – Summer 2027

We are looking to hire Landscaping Interns for the Summer of 2027 that would run from May 3 through August 29 (flexible based on availability) and earns $18 per hour for 35 hours per week. This is a non-exempt position reporting to the Landscaper. Free on-site housing is available with a signed housing agreement.

Little League Baseball and Softball is the leading nonprofit youth sports organization with 75+ years of history supporting youth baseball and softball. Little League is played in approximately 6500 communities across more than 80 countries worldwide. The 72-acre Little League complex hosts the annual Little League Baseball World Series every August and attracts thousands of visitors annually. It also plays host to numerous other events and tournaments throughout the summer.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A LANDSCAPING INTERN

The Landscaping Intern will work with the Landscaper to beautify and maintain the complex by assisting in caring for lawns, shrubs, annuals and perennials, which includes mowing, pruning, trimming, planting, as well as landscape installation and other general landscaping functions. Our internship program provides a hands-on learning experience that will enhance your college classroom education.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE LANDSCAPING INTERN

• Working toward an associates or undergraduate degree in Landscaping, Horticulture, or related field
• Excellent work ethic
• General knowledge of different types of plant material including flowers, annuals and perennial plants
• General knowledge of operating and maintaining equipment pertaining to landscaping
• Previous landscaping and gardening experience, preferred
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to lift at least 25 pounds
• Frequent bending, stooping and lifting
• Must pass criminal background check
• Flexible work schedule including holidays, evenings, and weekends, as needed.
• Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions, including extreme heat
