Job summary

Level Green Landscaping is seeking a Large Diesel Engine Mechanic to maintain and repair heavy equipment, including trucks, skid loaders, and wheel loaders. You will diagnose diesel engines, perform routine maintenance, and read manuals to stay ahead of repairs.

This role requires a valid driver's license, own tools, and ASE certification is preferred. You’ll join a team that values safety, accuracy, and timely service, with opportunities for overtime and advancement.

Qualifications

• Two years of diesel and large engine mechanic experience.

Responsibilities

In this role, you'll dive into the world of diesel mechanics, tackling repairs and maintenance for an array of heavy-duty vehicles and equipment. Your Responsibilities Will Include:

• Diving deep into diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance of large trucks like Isuzu and Ford, skid loaders, and front-end wheel loaders
• Specializing in diesel engine maintenance to keep our fleet running smoothly.
• Conducting routine inspections and performing necessary repairs on all engine types.
• Troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and fuel injection systems.
• Handling brake repairs with precision.
• Reading and interpreting technical manuals and schematics to stay ahead of the game.
• Keeping accurate service records to track our successes.
• Upholding safety regulations to ensure a secure working environment.
• Organizing and maintaining a clean parts inventory room.
• Changing oils, hydraulic fluids, and other critical components across various equipment.
• Assist with small engine diagnostics and repairs when needed, especially on commercial stand-on mowers.

• An individual with at least two (2) years of diesel and large engine mechanic experience.
• A technologically capable candidate who can learn different software to process purchase orders and purchase parts
• A detail-oriented individual who can manage time effectively and workload efficiently.

• A solid understanding of landscape and snow and ice equipment.
