Job summary

COPE Community Services, Inc. is seeking a part-time Landscaper to keep exterior areas of the Alturas building in Tucson clean and safe. The position runs Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 11:00am.

The role requires at least 3 months of landscape experience and the ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check. COPE emphasizes equal opportunity employment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Identify basic landscaping tools including rake, hoe, shovel, leaf blower, clippers, electric reciprocating saw, sledge hammer, chain saw, weed eater, hedge trimmer, pitch fork, axe, maul, backpack blower, backpack sprayer, and tiller.
• Skilled at the use of equipment with regards to both safety and operation.
• Read and understand labels on chemicals including safety precautions and emergency procedures.
• Display good judgment, temperament, and human relations skills to effectively communicate with other employees, clients and the public, some of which may be irate or unreasonable.
• Make sound and accurate judgments related to the job and job tasks while working.
