Job summary

Troon Esplanade at St. Marys in St. Marys, GA, is seeking a full-time Landscaper to maintain the turf area, ornamental plantings, and overall landscape appearance for members and guests.

Responsibilities include soil preparation, operating mowers and other equipment, planting and pruning trees and shrubs, applying mulch and fertilizer, keeping the area clean, and following safety practices. A valid driver’s license and ability to read and speak English are preferred.

Qualifications

• Education/Experience: Less than high school; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and speak English may be required to perform duties and communicate with staff and guests.

We are seeking a motivated individual who is interested in contributing to a positive experience for our members and guests while continuing togrow their knowledge of golf club operations. As an associate ofTroon, you’ll contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.The Landscaper provides for the care and maintenance of the turf area, ornamental trees, shrubs, bedding plants, and flowers.

Prepares soil for planting beds and lawn areas.

Operates mechanical equipment such as mowers, weed trimmers and utility vehicles.

Plants trees, shrubs, turf grass and flowers.

Prunes and trims trees and shrubs.

Maintains a clean landscape environment through trash removal and debris cleanup.

Incorporate safe work practices in job performance.

Maintains landscape through application of mulch, water, fertilizer and grooming.

Regular and reliable attendance.

Performs other duties as required.

Education/Experience:

Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Demands:

Frequently stands and walks; uses hands; reaches with hands and arms; stoops, kneels, crouches or crawls; talks or hears. Occasionally sits, climbs and balances, tastes or smells. Frequently lifts up to 50 pounds.

Occasionally works in wet or humid conditions (non-weather); near moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles, with toxic or caustic chemicals. Frequently works in outdoor weather conditions. Occasionally experiences vibration.

Certificates/Licenses:

Valid Driver’s License
