# LandscaperCape Resorts Management Co - Cape May, NJ 08204## OverviewSalary Range$23.00 - $23.00 Hourly## Description**Position Overview**This is a **hands-on position** responsible for ensuring that the gardens, lawns, pathways, entrances, outdoor living spaces, and public areas throughout our properties are consistently maintained to elite standards. The ideal candidate understands that exceptional landscaping goes beyond basic groundskeeping, it is an essential part of creating the unique **sense of place and guest experience** that defines our Cape May properties.**Primary Responsibilities*** **Daily Property Upkeep:** Take primary ownership of the daily aesthetic appeal and landscape maintenance for multiple properties and houses across the Cape May area.* **Turf & Garden Care:** Perform professional mowing, edging, trimming, pruning, weeding, mulching, planting, deadheading, leaf removal, and comprehensive seasonal cleanups.* **Horticultural Maintenance:** Care for flowers, bedding plants, shrubs, trees, and specialized ornamental plantings.* **Seasonal Rotations:** Execute seasonal planting and landscape transitions to ensure the properties dynamically reflect changing seasons and holiday themes.* **Equipment Operations:** Safely operate and maintain landscaping equipment, including blowers, hedge trimmers, rotary mowers, string trimmers, chainsaws, pressure washers, and other small machinery.* **Irrigation Management:** Handle basic operation, routine maintenance, and troubleshooting of irrigation systems, including drip lines, piping, and sprinkler heads.* **Hardscape & Light Construction:** Perform basic fence installation and repair, while assisting with other light construction and landscape development projects.* **Site Sanitation:** Oversee trash removal, sweeping, parking lot cleanliness, and organization of landscape work areas and tool storage.* **Cross-Functional Support:** Assist team members with special operational projects, including event setups, furniture staging, and holiday decorating/undecorating.* **Flexible Execution:** Perform additional duties assigned to support business needs during peak cycles.**Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities*** **Horticulture & Grounds Maintenance:** Strong expertise in landscape preservation, plant health care, precision pruning, mowing, irrigation management, and seasonal property upkeep**.*** **Autonomy & Ownership:** Proven ability to work independently, manage shifting priorities, and take full accountability for assigned zones.* **Meticulous Eye for Detail:** High standards of cleanliness and aesthetics, particularly within high-visibility, guest-facing environments.* **Equipment Proficiency:** Skilled in the safe operation and care of specialized landscaping tools and machinery.* **Technical Aptitude:** Basic understanding of construction techniques, fencing, irrigation troubleshooting, and general landscape repairs.* **Environmental Resilience:** Comfortable working outdoors in diverse and changing weather conditions.* **Physical Dexterity:** Capability to bend, squat, kneel, climb, and perform repetitive physical movements for extended periods**.*** **Stamina & Lifting Power:** Ability to regularly lift up to 25 pounds, frequently lift up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift heavier materials with team assistance.* **Safety First Mindset:** Strict adherence to all established property guidelines and equipment safety protocols.**Minimum Qualifications*** **Licensing:** Valid driver's license required**.*** **Education:** High school diploma or equivalent preferred**.*** **Core Experience:** 2+ years of professional experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, or estate maintenance preferred**.*** **Specialized Experience:** Prior experience managing high-end residential, luxury resort, or hospitality landscapes is strongly preferred**.**
