BrightView Landscapes, LLC is seeking a Landscaper II to support maintenance across diverse properties. The role involves operating a range of landscaping equipment, pruning shrubs, planting beds, and ensuring safety and quality on site. Team members assist Crew Leaders and contribute to routine DVIR inspections and minor repairs.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old with dependability and safety awareness.
  • Ability to safely operate landscaping machinery and attend to plant materials.
  • Certification on level 2 equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform landscape maintenance on industrial, commercial, and public properties.
  • Operate mowers, edgers, trimmers, blowers, and related equipment safely.
  • Prune shrubs, plant flowers, and maintain color beds.
  • Assist Crew Leader with inspections and minor repairs on equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety for guests and team.

  • The Landscaper II provides landscape maintenance support to a variety of industrial, commercial, and public properties. This position performs basic tasks without supervision and supports the safe operation of commercial-grade landscaping equipment as well as the upkeep of plant material and other landscaping elements.

  • The Landscaper II provides landscape maintenance support to a variety of industrial, commercial, and public properties. This position performs basic tasks without supervision and supports the safe operation of commercial-grade landscaping equipment as well as the upkeep of plant material and other landscaping elements.
Duties And Responsibilities
  • Execute work according to site-specific details and client requests
  • Cut turf using various-sized power mowers, trimming, and edging using a gas-powered edger/trimmer, and operating a gas-poweredblower
  • Prune shrubs and low trees as needed to improve the shape or growth habit or to remove damagedbranches
  • Plant and maintain flowerbeds
  • Prepare soil, install, and maintain seasonal color
  • Operate the edger and line trimmer along sidewalks, flower beds, trees, buildings, fences, and otherobjects
  • Utilize proper weed control methods
  • Pick up trash and blow leaves and other organic debris onto the turf before mowing.
  • Mulch the leaves and organic matter whenmowing
  • Perform weeding by hand or using a garden hoe or hulahoe
  • Assist less seasoned team members in completing work
  • Assist Crew Leader with DVIR inspections
  • Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on trucks and trailers (add fluids, replace lights, etc.)
  • Maintain a polite, friendly, responsive demeanor with guests andcustomers
  • Proactively communicate quality concerns with the Crew Leader as appropriate
Education And Experience
  • At least 18 years old,
  • Enthusiastic and dependable
  • Ability to safely work with equipment like power saws and cutters
  • Certified on level 2 equipment (extend hedge, trimmer, extend pole pruners, push/ride-on blower, riding mower, stand on mower, walk behind rototiller)
Physical Demands/Requirements
  • Ability to lift and carry 40 lbs. (mulch, fertilizer, etc.)
  • Ability to load/unload burlaps with plant cuttings onto trailer (up to 50 lbs.)
  • Be at least 18 years old (21 if operating company provided vehicles)
  • Possess strong stamina and have the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions including extreme heat and cold.
  • Able to safely operate landscaping equipment (e.g., mowers, trimmers, blowers, edgers).
  • Able to bend, stop and twist continuously throughout the day and perform manual labor using a variety of hand tools (e.g. shovels, rakes)
  • You are able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (e.g., safety shoes, high-visibility clothing, hand protection, eye protection, hearing protection, head protection)
  • Landscapers who will be operating a BrightView fleet vehicle are required to have a valid driver’s license and meet company standards as it relates motor vehicle performance identified on a state issued motor vehicle record check.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays if needed.
  • Ability to maintain, in your possession at all times, required medications to address any known allergic reactions should they occur.
Work Environment
  • Ability to work outdoors/indoors in moderate to extreme weather conditions (e.g., temperatures more than 100°F, temperatures below 32°F, various levels of humidity)
  • Ability to work in direct sunlight for extended periods of time.
  • Work outdoors near automotive traffic, bodies of water, fumes, dust, mechanical and/or electrical hazards.
  • Ability to work in environments where extended periods of loud noise are present.
  • Ability to work in environments where exposure to allergens such as pollen and rag weed, insects such as bees and spiders and reptiles such as lizards and snakes.
