Job summary

Apex Companies is seeking a Landscape Technician (Stormwater) to support maintenance of stormwater infrastructure on commercial properties. This outdoor role offers travel across local and regional sites, with 10-15 days per month and overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• 1–2+ years of manual labor/outdoor experience.
• Solid understanding of landscaping equipment and materials.
• Willingness to travel locally and regionally (10–15 days per month).
• Must be 21+ years old due to DOT interstate requirements.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Pre-employment background, MVR check, and drug screening; drug-free workplace.
• Physically able to perform tasks in varied weather.

Responsibilities

• Routine landscape maintenance and light repairs of stormwater systems and infrastructure (retention ponds, detention basins, drainage ditches, stormwater grates, and other stormwater assets)
• Perform mowing, weed-trimming, debris removal, ground maintenance and cleanup, light construction, and maintenance repairs for client properties.
• Operate landscaping and light construction equipment.
• Travel from the shop to client sites locally and regionally using the company truck. 10-15 days per month is typical (Monday-Friday).

Position: Landscape Technician (Stormwater)
Location: Salt Lake City, UT
Compensation: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Full Time, 40-55 hours per week (Monday-Friday, overtime opportunities)
Regional Travel: Required, typically 10-15 days per month (lodging and $55 per diem on travel days)
