Job summary

Rubicon Landscape, a mission-driven division of Rubicon Programs, seeks a Landscape Technician I to deliver landscape installation, irrigation, and maintenance while supporting social-enterprise outcomes in East Bay communities. This entry-level to developing role offers hands-on training under a Crew Lead or Supervisor.

This full-time, on-site position requires working across multiple Bay Area job sites, with bilingual English/Spanish preferred, safety-mindedness, and a willingness to learn.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1+ year landscape/maintenance experience preferred.
• Willingness to learn commercial landscape practices.
• Valid real ID driver's license required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install trees, shrubs, groundcover, and other plant materials per plans.
• Prepare planting areas with grading, soil amendment, excavation.
• Install sod, seed, mulch, decorative rock, edges.
• Assist with site improvements, grading, pathways preparation.
• Operate hand tools and power equipment safely.
• Monitor plant health and report pests or irrigation issues.
• Provide professional customer service to clients.
