Job summary

AQUALIS is seeking an Assistant Service Delivery Manager / Landscape Technician in Charlotte, NC to support the Service Delivery team during peak seasons. You will assist with stormwater system maintenance, perform landscaping tasks, and help document repairs using BMPs for SCM.

The role requires regional travel 4-5 days a week, a valid driver's license, and comfort with physical work in diverse weather. Compensation ranges from $18.00–$23.00 per hour, with benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience operating basic landscaping equipment.
• Experience driving a truck and trailer.
• Willing to travel regionally, overnight, 4-5 days per week (All travel expenses are covered).
• Comfortable with extensive physical labor in varying weather conditions.
• Background check, drug screening and motor vehicle report are part of pre-employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with maintaining and improving storm drainage systems.
• Perform general environmental maintenance activities.
• Operate landscaping equipment (weed eaters, blowers, mowers, shovels, chainsaws).
• Dispose of sediment, trash and debris from stormwater systems.
• Maintain and improve storm drainage systems and ponds.
• Identify and document stormwater drainage issues needing repair.
• Operate and maintain company equipment (truck & trailer).
• Assist with maintenance & inspection reports and tracking crew expenses.
• Assist with hotel arrangements when overnight travel is required.
• Attend safety trainings and perform heavy labor in varying conditions.

Where do YOU fit in?

The Assistant Service Delivery Manager (ASDM / Landscape Technician) assists with keeping the Service Delivery team on a challenging schedule during the growing seasons while gathering information for the potential rehabilitation and/or repair of stormwater wetlands, biofiltration systems, proprietary underground storage units, and drainage conveyance infrastructures utilizing Best Management Practices (BMP) for Stormwater Control Measures (SCM).

Specific Duties Include

• Assisting with maintaining and improving storm drainage systems to mitigate flooding and erosion
• Performing general environmental maintenance activities
• Operating landscaping equipment including weed eaters, blowers, mowers, shovels, chainsaws, etc.
• Disposing of sediment, trash and debris from stormwater systems
• Maintaining and improving storm drainage systems and ponds
• Identifying and documenting stormwater drainage issues needing repair
• Operating and maintaining company equipment which includes a pick-up truck & trailer
• Assisting with maintenance & inspection reports and tracking crew expenses
• Assisting with hotel arrangements for the team when overnight travel is required
• Attending brief but regular safety trainings
• Performing physical labor in a variety of weather conditions
• Regional travel 4-5 days per week (all travel expenses are covered by the company)

“Compensation for this position is determined by verified, directly related industry experience. Candidates who have three (3) or more consecutive years of employment with a company performing work substantially similar to the responsibilities outlined in this job description may qualify for an enhanced starting wage.

Candidates with less than 3 years of directly related experience: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Candidates with 3+ years of directly related experience: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour

To be considered for the higher compensation range, candidates must have a minimum of three (3) years of verifiable experience in a comparable role. The Company conducts employment verification checks as part of the hiring process to confirm previous job titles, dates of employment, and relevant work experience. Experience that cannot be verified may not be considered when determining compensation eligibility.

• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid DOT Medical Certification throughout employment.
