Job summary

Crescent Moon Landscaping in Charleston, SC is seeking hardworking landscaping technicians to execute the company’s landscaping needs. Ideal candidates should have a good attitude, willingness to learn, and the ability to work in varied conditions while using hand tools and power equipment.

Responsibilities include installing landscape features, maintaining trucks and equipment, and collaborating with other crews and management to keep the shop organized and productive.

Qualifications

• Ability to drive a truck and trailer.
• Ability to start, operate, maintain and troubleshoot basic landscaping equipment.
• Ability to use and maintain hand/manual tools.

Responsibilities

• Installation Crews: demo of existing landscape features; site preparation; installation (sod, plants, irrigation, lighting, hardscapes, carpentry, drainage).
• All Crews: monthly maintenance of trucks, trailers and equipment; assist in projects around shop and laydown yard; help other teams meet goals.

To help maintain and grow this standard, we’re seeking hardworking technicians to execute the landscaping needs of our customers. As an ideal candidate, you’ll have a good attitude, be willing to learn and try new things, and able to overcome daily challenges and changes. You will be skilled and/or be trained in driving a truck and trailer; working with hand tools, power equipment and other landscape equipment (blowers, trimmers); working in the field in a variety of conditions (hot, cold, wet, etc.) and you will be skilled and/or trained in variety of landscaping tasks involving installation. Additionally, you’ll display a proven ability to work with others to maintain an environment of trust, diversity, and inclusion within your team. Your ultimate responsibility is to execute tasks assigned by the management staff.

Objectives of this Role

• Execute landscaping tasks assigned by management staff.
• Maintain trucks, trailers and equipment used during the execution of daily tasks.
• Work with other crews and management staff to keep shop and laydown yard organized, clean and presentable.

Responsibilities

• Installation Crews: demo of existing landscape features (turf, plants, decks, patios, etc.); site preparation (grading, fine tuning beds and turf areas, excavating for hardscaping features, trouble shooting irrigation and lighting systems, etc); installation (sod, plants, irrigation, lighting, hardscapes, carpentry projects, drainage, etc.).
• All Crews: monthly maintenance of trucks, trailers and equipment; cleaning and assisting in projects around shop and laydown yard; willing to help other teams meet their goals.

Skills and Qualifications (we will train willing candidates in any area they are deficient)

• Able to drive truck and trailer
• Able to start, operate, maintain and troubleshoot basic landscaping equipment. (trimmers, blowers, tiller, pull trencher, etc.)
• Able to use and maintain hand/manual tools. (shovels, rakes, wheel barrows, tamps, etc.)

Requirements

• GREAT ATTITUDE!!!
• Minimum of 40 - 45 hours per week.
• Minimum of 9 - 10 hours Monday - Thursday and 5 hours on Friday if all tasks have been completed.
• Monday - Friday and some Saturdays
• 6:20 am Start Time
• In the event of you need to miss work, you will work with management to ensure work is completed in your absence.
