Job summary

RGS Landscape & Arbor Care in Irvine, CA is seeking a Gardener to install, renovate and maintain grounds and landscapes per company policy and Crew Leader direction. You will work on a landscape crew to care for trees, shrubs, turf, and beds to keep them healthy and attractive.

Responsibilities include pruning, fertilizing, weeding, irrigation tasks, and operating a range of landscape equipment. 1+ year of commercial landscape experience and a CA driver’s license preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of current trends and practices in landscape maintenance
• Must participate in mandatory training and certification programs including fuel safety and tool operation
• Ability to interact effectively with associates, customers, vendors and management
• Detail oriented and organized with professional demeanor

Responsibilities

• Maintains trees, shrubs, groundcovers and turf by pruning, fertilizing, weeding, watering, spraying, mowing and raking.
• Assists in planting and cultivating landscapes including plants, flowers, shrubs and trees.
• Removes weeds and debris from landscapes and hardscapes.
• Communicates with Crew Leader and associates to coordinate duties and schedules.
• Adheres to company safety and procedures; operates equipment properly.
• Keeps tools, supplies and area secure and organized; records time sheets.
• Maintains punctuality for start, breaks and end times.
