Job summary

The Greenery, Inc is seeking a Maintenance Crew Member to perform landscaping and grounds upkeep at a military installation in South Carolina. You will mow, prune, plant, and maintain trees, shrubs, and flowers while handling irrigation tasks and equipment care.

This hands-on role requires the ability to work outdoors in varying weather, operate mowers and power tools, and follow safety procedures. A background screening is required due to site access.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Previous outside landscaping, groundskeeping, or similar field experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills a must.
• 6 months commercial landscape experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Mow, edge, and trim turf areas using powered and hand tools.
• Prune and trim trees, shrubs, and hedges.
• Plant, cultivate, fertilize, and maintain flowers, trees, shrubs, and hedges.
• Dig, spread, and level soil using shovels, rakes, and other tools.
• Install sod, mulch, pine straw, and other ground covers.
• Install landscape edging, borders, and hardscapes (patios, walkways, retaining walls).
• Perform routine equipment checks and maintenance (fueling, oil, air pressure, safety checks).
• Fully fuel up all equipment at the end of each workday.
• Clean and maintain job sites, including debris removal, storm cleanup, and trash pickup.
• Ensure all work is completed in a timely, high-quality, and safe manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned
