Description

We are hiring an experienced Landscape Maintenance Team Lead to guide a small crew through ecological landscape stewardship projects across Central Massachusetts. This is a hands‑on field leadership role for someone who understands plants, can organize a crew, recognize landscape health issues, and deliver consistent, high-quality work with minimal oversight.

You will lead daily landscape maintenance and stewardship activities, including planting, pruning, weeding, mulching, soil care, seasonal cleanups, invasive plant management, plant health monitoring, equipment readiness, quality control, daily documentation, and professional client communication.

Your job is to turn stewardship plans into thoughtful, efficient field work. That means preparing the crew, understanding what each landscape needs, protecting desirable plants and soil health, identifying problems before they become larger issues, and ensuring every property receives the care it deserves.

This is not a conventional mow‑and‑blow maintenance role. We are looking for someone who takes pride in horticultural craftsmanship, understands that landscapes are living systems, and wants to help native gardens, edible landscapes, and ecological habitats thrive over time.

You do not need to know everything. You do need to be honest, coachable, organized, safety minded, and genuinely interested in Reimagined Roots' mission of replacing conventional lawns with abundant ecosystems full of food, medicine, native plants, biodiversity, and function.

Salary & Benefits

$28–$38 per hour, based on demonstrated horticultural knowledge, leadership experience, quality of work, and ability to manage a crew independently.

Seasonal full‑time position, with the primary field season running from late March through early December. Winter work may be available depending on weather, workload, and qualifications, including winter pruning, invasive plant management, ecological restoration, equipment care, and training. Winter hours are not guaranteed.

We provide company tools, trucks, trailers, and major equipment needed for the work, along with opportunities for professional development, advancement, and access to educational resources around ecology, horticulture, plants, personal development, and ecological landscape stewardship.

Paid time off and other benefit eligibility will be discussed during the hiring process and may depend on seasonal hours and employment status.

Company

We create beautiful, functional landscapes that replace conventional lawns with resilient ecosystems of native plants, food, medicine, biodiversity, and habitat. Our work combines landscape construction, horticulture, permaculture, and regenerative design with a strong focus on craftsmanship, soil health, and long‑term landscape resilience.
