Job summary

The Plantation at Ponte Vedra Beach is seeking Landscaping Maintenance Associates to care for 173 Garden Home Properties. You will mow, trim, edge, and weed beds, while coordinating irrigation checks and mulch installations handled by external crews.

Interaction with homeowners and management is expected daily. Applicants should have landscaping experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to operate and maintain equipment.

The Plantation at Ponte Vedra Beach has multiple positions available for Landscaping Maintenance Associates!

Position Summary

The Garden Homes Landscape Maintenance Associate is responsible for the maintenance of 173 Garden Home Properties. This includesmowing, trimming, edging, blowing of all lawns, weeding of landscape beds, pruning of hedges and trees up to 15’, irrigation checks along with overseeing and performing quality control checks of the chemical spraying contract and the installation of mulch that is outsourced each year. Must be customer service orientated and comfortable interacting with homeowners and management daily.

This job description includes, but is not limited to, the duties and responsibilities noted below.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Must be adaptable and have a "can do mentality"
• Inspect and maintain all plant material to include sod for all homes
• Maintain Garden Home landscape beds and lawn care.
• Fertilize lawns and shrubs by outsourced provider for all homes.
• Perform irrigation system maintenance .
• Perform monthly area storm drain checks as assigned.
• Ensure all equipment is maintained and operational.
• Operate Department vehicles, trailers, and work carts.
• All other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or General Services Manager.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• Must be able to work independently

• Must be able to work Monday - Friday (7:00 AM- 3:30 PM) With an occasional Saturday work schedule due to inclement weather conditions

• Experience in landscaping and grounds required
• Knowledge in the use, operation, and maintenance of equipment.
