Job summary

ABM Industries is seeking a reliable Landscape Laborer to maintain property grounds by mowing, trimming, pruning, and planting as needed. The role includes using lawn care chemicals, operating sprinklers, and performing snow removal in winter.

On-the-job training is provided, with a focus on safety and efficiency across multiple site types. Ideal candidates are 18+ with a valid driver’s license; no formal education required and no prior experience necessary.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have a valid Driver's License.
• No high school diploma, GED or college degree required.
• No experience required and on the job training provided.

Responsibilities

• Maintain property grounds.
• Ensure proper maintenance of mowers, blowers, and sprinkler systems.
• Perform landscape duties: leaf removal, pruning shrubs/trees, fertilizing, lawn care, watering.
• Remove litter and empty trash cans.
• Clean roads, parking lots and walks for pedestrian/ vehicular safety.
• Perform basic carpentry and painting tasks.
• Remove ice and snow from walks/roads/lots; apply ice melter and sand.
• Establish new plantings in landscape and greenhouse culture.
• Use manual/automatic watering systems to ensure plant moisture.
• Perform safety checks on equipment and suggest improvements to leader.
• Maintain safe work areas during/after projects.
• Clean spills including body fluids.
