Job summary

Ruppert Landscape is seeking a Landscape Install Crew Member in Charlotte to assist with installing plant material, lighting, irrigation, hardscape, and site amenities under the direction of a Field Manager.

This hands-on role emphasizes safety, a strong work ethic, and teamwork in a fast-paced outdoor environment. On-the-job training is provided for the right candidate, with opportunities to grow within the company.

Qualifications

• Adhere to safety regulations and wear proper PPE at all times.
• Lift, carry, push and pull materials up to 50 pounds outdoors.
• Energetic, dependable, and committed to high-quality outdoor work in variable weather.
• Punctual and reliable attendance; able to work in a team or independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform landscape and enhancement tasks under Field Manager direction and project plans.
• Assist with hardscape and specialty features (pavers, concrete, walls, outdoor kitchens, decks).
• Safely operate landscape tools and equipment (bed edgers, sod cutters, rototillers, tractors, skid steers, mini excavators).
• Assist with site preparation, layout, and cleanup for safe, organized job sites.
• Communicate progress, material needs, safety concerns and site conditions to team and supervisor
• Collaborate within a team while following safety protocols and company procedures
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance on job sites and represent Ruppert Landscape professionally
• Perform additional duties to support project execution and team productivity.

As a Landscape Installation Crew Member, you will be responsible for assisting with the installation of plant material, lighting, irrigation, hardscape, and site amenities using a variety of tools and equipment under the direction of a Field Manager. This hands-on role requires a strong work ethic, commitment to safety, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while maintaining a clean and professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of landscape and enhancement duties while following Field Manager direction, project plans, and installation standards to ensure quality workmanship and timely project completion
• Support the installation of hardscape and specialty features such as pavers, concrete flatwork, retaining walls, outdoor kitchens, decks, fire and water features
• Safely operate landscape construction tools and equipment including bed edgers, sod cutters, rototillers, tractors, skid steers, mini excavators, tractors, and other machinery to support site preparation, grading, planting, drainage installation, and material installation
• Assist with site preparation, layout, and cleanup to ensure safe, organized, and efficient job sites throughout project execution
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding project progress, material needs, safety concerns and job site conditions
• Work collaboratively within a team environment while adhering to all safety protocols, company procedures, and industry best practices
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance on job sites and represent the company with professionalism at all times
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall project execution and team productivity

Qualifications

• Safety-first mindset with a commitment to adhering to safety regulations, promoting safe work practices, and wearing proper PPE at all times
• Physically capable of routinely lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling materials weighing up to 50 pounds outdoors in variable weather conditions
• Energetic, dependable, and committed to delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment in a variety of weather conditions
• Consistently report to work on time and maintain dependable attendance
• Demonstrate initiative and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Previous landscape or construction experience is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided for the right candidate
• Possession of a valid drivers license is preferred and may be required based on job duties
