Job summary

KCI Technologies, Inc. is seeking a CEI Landscape Inspector to join our Florida team. You will inspect landscape projects, review drawings, and ensure compliance with contract documents on active sites.

This role requires the ability to read plans, report with photos, manage daily records, and travel throughout Florida. A high school diploma and 2 years of related experience are expected, along with a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in construction-related field.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to read construction plans/specifications.
• Basic math skills including geometry/trigonometry.
• Fluent reading/writing/communication.
• Teamwork and daily reporting ability.

Responsibilities

• Inspect landscape projects for contract compliance.
• Produce photo-documented reports.
• Maintain daily records and track progress.
• Communicate professionally with contractors.
• Identify deficiencies and propose corrective actions.
• Collaborate with team members on site.
• Attend construction progress meetings.

Duties, Responsibilities & Other

A CEI Landscape Inspector must enjoy field work and have the physical condition to walk construction sites and to perform close examinations of tree roots, branches, leaves, site soils and irrigation systems. We are interested in seeing the combination of skills, experience, certifications, and education that you have to succeed in this field.

Duties

• Inspect landscape projects to ensure compliance with the contract documents
• Produce photo documented reports
• Maintain daily records and tracking work progress
• Professional communication and interaction with contractors and others
• Must find and identify construction deficiencies, evaluate corrective actions, and formulate responses
• Must collaborate and coordinate with other members of the team
• Attend construction progress meetings

Degrees/Licenses

• Green industry Certifications - ISA, LIAF, FNGLA or ability to earn them.

Skills

• Knowledge of Florida plants and the Florida Grades and Standards for Nursery Plants
• Current knowledge of landscape installation and maintenance procedures and horticultural practices
• Working knowledge of irrigation systems
• Knowledge of the methods, tools and equipment used in the industry
• Understanding of construction plans, specifications, and details
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Ambitious and committed to producing excellence work
• Manage projects and adapt to ever changing schedules
• Ability to travel throughout Florida

Qualifications

Education and/or Skills Required:

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience working in a construction related field.
• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
• Ability to understand construction plans, specifications, and procedures.
• Demonstrate basic math skills, including geometry and trigonometry.
• Possess the ability to read, write, and communicate fluently.
• Work effectively as a team member and complete daily reports by hand and computer.

• Valid Driver’s License
• Ability to pass and maintain required certifications
