Sweda is seeking a Landscape Gardener to care for the grounds of Lincoln Homestead State Park in Springfield, Kentucky. The role supports a team maintaining an 18-hole golf course and enhancing guest experiences with hands-on tasks and attention to detail.
Responsibilities include mowing, irrigation, bunker maintenance, chemical applications, course setup, equipment care, and landscape work while adhering to safety and quality standards. Outdoor work in varied conditions is expected.

This position performs the duties of daily care for our picturesque 18-hole golf course. A candidate with the appropriate experience and education will assist a team of golf course maintenance personnel to perform all tasks necessary to maintain and improve an excellent golf course.
This position requires a motivated individual that will employ a \"hands-on\" approach, and someone that enjoys performing all the tasks required to present our guests with a great golfing experience.

EDUCATION: High school graduate.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Must have two years of experience in grounds maintenance, golf course greens keeping, landscaping, farming, or other related experience.
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: An associate degree or technical training in horticulture or a related field will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis. A Kentucky Certified Nurseryman, Certified International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Arborist or other trade certification will substitute for the required experience.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): Must possess a valid driver's license prior to employment in this job classification. Must maintain any required licensure(s), certification(s), or other credentials for the length of employment in this job classification. Employing agency is responsible for ensuring employee possesses and maintains required licensure(s), certification(s) or other credentials.
Work outdoors in all weather conditions. Operate power equipment. Exposed to substances commonly associated with landscaping (pesticides, fertilizers, etc.). Exposed to loud noises and sharp objects.
This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
