Ruppert Landscape is seeking an Estimator – Landscape Installation in Manassas, VA to lead the estimating process from inception through proposal submission. You will review plans, define scopes, solicit subcontractor pricing, and prepare detailed cost estimates to deliver competitive bids.

You will support pre-construction activities, collaborate with internal teams, and participate in pre- and post-job meetings to improve project performance and customer satisfaction.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
• Proficiency in computer applications, with demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint); experience with estimating software preferred.
• Understanding of business math, budgeting, and reporting principles related to estimating and project costs.
• Minimum one year experience preferred, but not necessary for entry-level candidates.

Responsabilidades

• Review plans and specifications to define project scopes of work, identify effective production methods, and prepare subcontractor bid packages for distribution.
• Manage estimating workflow to provide complete proposals before bid deadlines
• Complete quantity take-offs and enter bid information into the company’s estimating software
• Establish recommended profit margins in alignment with current pricing guidelines and project requirements
• Evaluate and recommend preferred subcontractors for each project in collaboration with Project Managers
• Solicit written quotes for hard materials and site furnishings
• Submit plant lists to the Purchaser to be sourced and priced
• Assist customers with technical information and pricing during pre-construction
• Review bids with Branch and Region Managers based on approval limits
• Participate in pre-job and post-job meetings
