Job summary

Pape-Dawson Engineers is seeking a Landscape Architect/Designer to support design development, drafting, and technical production for parks, campuses, and public infrastructure. You will translate surveys, prepare plans, sections, and elevations, and build 3D models using SketchUp and SU Podium.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Landscape Architecture, are proficient in AutoCAD and Land F/X, have hand-drawing and presentation skills, and can collaborate in a fast-paced studio with standard

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture or related field.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Land F/X, SketchUp, and Adobe Photoshop.
  • Strong hand-drawing, visualization, and graphic presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with LEED principles and sustainable site design practices.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Reliable and punctual; able to work Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m., with overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare plans, details, sections, and elevations; complete redline revisions accurately and on time.
  • Translate surveys and civil drawings into base plans using company CAD standards and templates.
  • Develop 3D models and illustrative renderings using SketchUp, SU Podium, and Photoshop.
  • Assist in the preparation of site and planting plans, grading layouts, and basic construction details.
  • Support conceptual graphics and schematic plans using Land F/X and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Prepare and format planting schedules and materials for documentation.
  • Conduct basic site and zoning research, code studies, and analysis under supervision.
  • Coordinate with internal team members to complete assigned project tasks.
  • Track time effectively and complete tasks within established budgets and schedules.
  • Maintain organized files and adhere to established company workflows.
