Job summary

Apex Companies, LLC is seeking a full-time landscape designer for our Vancouver, Washington office. You will assist the landscape architecture team with design, drawing production, and project management support across multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities include preparing planting designs, construction documents, and project details, plus site analysis and sustainable design integration. Growth opportunities include proposals, marketing, and cross-training on diverse projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture or related field.
• 2+ years of professional landscape design experience.
• Experience with construction documentation, technical details and specifications.
• Coordination of project delivery.

• Assist landscape architecture team with complex projects from initial concept through to completion.
• Work effectively with multi-disciplinary project teams.
• Prepare effective planting designs and construction documents with minimal oversight and assistance.
• Develop project specific construction details with an understanding of project budget and constructability.
• Perform site analysis, product and plant research and sourcing.
• Integrate sustainable design and construction methodologies into our work.
• Maintain and assist in improving existing company standards, processes and systems.
• Contribute to proposals, presentations, and marketing efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Landscape Architecture or related field
• 2+ years of professional experience
• Prior experience with construction documentation, technical details and specifications, and overall project delivery coordination.

Desirable Skills

• Knowledge of Central/Eastern Washington and Oregon planting design.
• Knowledge of irrigation design.
• Knowledge of on-site safe practices, construction methodologies, observation, and preparing field reports.
