Geared for Growing in Healdsburg, CA seeks a Landscape Designer to own and elevate our design division, spearheading innovation and raising artistic standards for high-end, large-scale residential projects.

This on-site role partners with discerning clients, build leads, estimators, and field crews to translate visions into master plans, planting schemes, and structural layouts, using AutoCAD, SketchUp, Vectorworks, and 3D rendering to elevate presentation quality.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of landscape design experience in high-end residential developments.
• Proven track record of best-in-class work and architectural excellence.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail.
• Eagerness to adopt AutoCAD/SketchUp/Vectorworks/3D rendering tools.
• Strong foundation in horticulture, site grading, drainage, and hardscape construction.
• Degree in Landscape Architecture, Landscape Design, or related field.
• Exceptional portfolio showcasing residential design leadership and visuals.

Since 1983, Geared for Growing has been designing, building, and maintaining landmark outdoor spaces across Sonoma County. As a premier full-service landscape architecture and construction firm based in Healdsburg, we are expanding our impact. We are seeking an ambitious, visionary Landscape Designer to take ownership of our design division—spearheading innovation, elevating artistic standards, and driving growth across high-end, large-scale residential projects.

This is an in-person, on-site position based in Healdsburg, CA. All work is performed on-site daily — this is not a remote or hybrid role.

What you'll do

• Own and scale the growth of Geared for Growing's dedicated design arm, establishing best-in-class design standards
• Lead high-end, large-scale residential landscape projects from initial concept through detailed execution
• Partner directly with discerning clients to translate complex visions into inspiring master plans, planting schemes, and structural layouts
• Leverage cutting-edge design software and modern technology solutions to maximize workflow efficiency, precision, and presentation quality
• Curate bespoke plant materials, hardscapes, and lighting suited to Sonoma County's microclimates and luxury living
• Collaborate closely with build leads, estimators, and field crews to ensure seamless design implementation and flawless craftsmanship

What we're looking for

• 5+ years of landscape design experience, with a focus or strong interest in high-end, large-scale residential developments
• A proven track record of producing best-in-class work and a passion for architectural excellence
• Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining high attention to detail
• Eagerness to adopt and leverage technology (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Vectorworks, 3D rendering tools, etc.) to enhance quality and efficiency
• Strong foundation in horticulture, site grading, drainage, and hardscape construction
• Degree in Landscape Architecture, Landscape Design, Horticulture, or equivalent high-level practical experience
• Exceptional portfolio showcasing residential design leadership and visual presentation skills
