Job summary

Thomas Young Group in Aspen is seeking a Landscape Designer to join a collaborative studio working across mountain towns, urban spaces, and outdoor community areas.

You'll contribute to concept design, visualization, and technical delivery, balancing hands-on drawing with digital modeling in a hybrid, in-person and remote setup.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years of experience, proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite, and a passion for detailing and sustainable design.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of professional landscape architecture experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator).
• Strong 3D modeling and visualization skills (SketchUp, Rhino, Lumion).
• Experience producing detailed design documentation and construction detailing.
• Strong conceptual design and visual communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines across multiple projects.
• Collaborative mindset with solid presentation and communication skills.
• Preferably pursuing Landscape Architecture licensure.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and delivery of landscape architecture projects from concept through documentation.
• Produce detailed drawing sets, technical details, and presentation materials.
• Create 3D models and visualizations using SketchUp, Rhino, and Lumion.
• Contribute to design conceptualization through graphics, rendering and hand sketching.
• Collaborate with the wider studio team across active projects.
• Assist with project coordination and project management activities.
• Work in a fast-paced design environment with both in-person and remote collaboration.

What you'll be doing:

Support the design and delivery of landscape architecture projects from concept through documentation

Produce detailed drawing sets, technical details, and presentation materials

Create 3D models and visualizations using tools such as SketchUp, Rhino, and Lumion

Contribute to design conceptualization through graphics, rendering, and hand sketching

Collaborate closely with the wider studio team across multiple active projects

Assist with project coordination and support project management activities where needed

Work across a fast paced design environment with a mix of in person and remote collaboration

What we're looking for:

2-4 years of professional experience within landscape architecture or landscape design

Proficiency across AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator

Strong 3D modeling and visualization skills using SketchUp, Rhino, Lumion, or similar tools

Experience producing detailed design documentation and construction detailing

Strong conceptual design and visual communication skills

Comfortable managing multiple deadlines and priorities across different projects

Collaborative mindset with strong presentation and communication skills

Currently pursuing Landscape Architecture licensure is preferred
