Job summary

Bland Landscaping is seeking an Enhancement Design & Estimator to design, estimate, and coordinate production for the Commercial Installation Department. You will work with account managers, landscape architects, and clients to develop enhancements and present graphics.

The role requires outdoor work, design ability, and strong software skills (Vectorworks, Vectorworks, MS Office, BOSS LM). A horticulture degree and NC license are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have a 2- or 4-year degree in horticulture or a related field.
• Prefer a minimum of three years of landscape design experience.
• Ability to work a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Must have a valid NC driver's license and a good driving record.
• Able to design, estimate, and propose enhancements using computer software.
• Horticultural knowledge of plants used in the Southeast region.

Responsibilities

• Generate designs and estimates for enhancing existing properties in coordination with account managers, landscape architects, and clients.
• Utilize the Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Teams, to communicate and collaborate on projects.
• Design through Vector works, Adobe Photoshop AI, and other software to create cutting-edge graphics for client presentations.
• Create cost and time estimates for projects using BOSS LM.
• Propose, Estimate, and Design for Bland Landscaping, primarily for Commercial Grounds Management.
• Attend on-site meetings and conduct in-person site evaluations when necessary.
• Track job performance and gather feedback on the design and functionality of projects that have been installed.

Job description

The Enhancement Design & Estimator position is responsible for designing, estimating, and coordinating production for the Commercial Installation Department. This position is also responsible for various administrative and management functions and other duties as directed by the Lead Designer.

• Generate designs and estimates for enhancing existing properties in coordination with account managers, landscape architects, and clients.
• Utilize the Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Teams, to communicate and collaborate on projects.
• Design through Vector works, Adobe Photoshop AI, and other software to create cutting-edge graphics for client presentations.
• Create cost and time estimates for projects using BOSS LM.
• Propose, Estimate, and Design for Bland Landscaping. This work will primarily include enhancement sales for Commercial Grounds Management, some Estate Gardening Installation, and New Construction Installation.
• Attend on-site meetings and conduct in-person site evaluations when necessary.
• Track job performance and gather feedback on the design and functionality of projects that have been installed.

Requirements:

• Ability to work a minimum of 40 hours per week
• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
• Ability to work around bees, poison ivy, pollen, thorns, and other environmental risks
• Adhere to Bland landscaping policy and procedures
• Must have a valid NC Driver's license and maintain a good driving record
• The position will require a criminal background check
• Must have good organizational and communication skills
• Must be able to work independently
• Must have computer skills and be able to design, estimate, and propose enhancements using computer software
• Must have horticultural knowledge of plants commonly used in the Southeast Region, the ability to determine existing site conditions, and the ability to specify appropriate plants for different situations

Experience:

• Must have a 2- or 4-year degree in horticulture or a related field
