Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company is seeking a Landscape Enhancement Crew Leader to oversee outdoor crews in the Tampa, FL area. The role focuses on improving property values through skilled grounds and turf maintenance, plantings and equipment operation.

Ideal candidates have a love of the outdoors with horticulture/landscaping background and knowledge of turf and plant ID. Training in safety and Davey development courses is provided on hire.

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors and outdoor work.
• Background in horticulture or landscaping preferred.
• Knowledge of turf, weed, tree and shrub identification preferred.
• Willing to complete Davey landscape career development books on hire.
• Willing to complete Davey first aid, CPR and defensive driving course on hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a landscape crew to enhance property appearance and value.
• Direct daily grounds and turf maintenance tasks as assigned.
• Plant, trim, mow, weed, mulch and fertilize landscapes as needed.
• Learn to diagnose turf and shrub insect, disease, and cultural/environmental issues.
• Maintain open communication with management and clients and report landscape needs.
• Operate, drive and maintain landscape equipment and tools.

• Enhance the appearance and value of properties through direction of your crew in the execution of daily grounds and turf maintenance.
• Properly plant, trim, mow, weed, mulch, fertilize and so much more.
• Learn to diagnose insect, disease, and cultural/environmental turf and shrub conditions.
• Maintain open communication with management and clients to provide feedback on landscape needs.
• Drive, use, maintain and properly operate landscape equipment.

Qualifications

What We’re Seeking:

• Love of the outdoors
• Preferred: background in Horticulture or Landscaping
• Preferred: Turf, Weed, Tree and shrub ID knowledge
• Ability to complete the Davey landscape career development books upon hire
• Ability to complete the Davey first aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
