Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company in Houston, TX is seeking a Landscape Enhancement Crew Leader to supervise a crew and direct daily grounds and turf maintenance on-site. The role emphasizes leading outdoor work, plant care, and equipment operation to improve property aesthetics.

Qualifications

• 1 year leadership experience in landscape maintenance.
• Driver's license preferred.
• Background in horticulture or landscaping preferred.
• Turf, weed, tree and shrub ID knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct crew members and equipment and plan/execute assigned work.
• Enhance appearance and value of properties through turf maintenance.
• Plant, trim, mow, weed, mulch, fertilize and related tasks.
• Diagnose turf/shrub conditions (pests, disease, cultural/environmental).
• Maintain communication with management/clients about landscape needs.
• Operate and maintain landscape equipment.

Job Duties

What You’ll Do:

• Cultivate your green career with us!
• Enhance the appearance and value of properties through direction of your crew in the execution of daily grounds and turf maintenance.
• Properly plant, trim, mow, weed, mulch, fertilize and so much more.
• Learn to diagnose insect, disease, and cultural/environmental turf and shrub conditions.
• Maintain open communication with management and clients to provide feedback on landscape needs.
• Drive, use, maintain and properly operate landscape equipment.

Qualifications

What We’re Seeking:

• Love of the outdoors
• 1 year leadership experience in Landscape maintenance
• Prefered: Driver's License
• Preferred: background in Horticulture or Landscaping
• Preferred: Turf, Weed, Tree and shrub ID knowledge
• Ability to complete the Davey landscape career development books upon hire
• Ability to complete the Davey first aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
