Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company is hiring a Landscape Crew Leader in Antioch, TN. You will lead a field crew to maintain and enhance properties, focusing on turf and landscape health while operating equipment safely.

This permanent, full-time role emphasizes outdoor work, teamwork, strong communication, and a commitment to safety. Eligible for the company’s employee-owned programs and benefits.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience coordinating and leading a landscape crew.
• Minimum 3 years of recent and professional landscape experience.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily grounds and turf maintenance with your crew.
• Ensure proper planting, trimming, mowing, weed control, mulching and fertilization.
• Diagnose turf and shrub health issues and communicate needs to management.
• Maintain clear communication with clients and management about landscape needs.
• Operate and maintain landscape equipment safely and efficiently.
• Support safety programs and provide training to team members.

What You'll Do:

• Cultivate your green career with us!
• Enhance the appearance and value of properties through direction of your crew in the execution of daily grounds and turf maintenance.
• Properly plant, trim, mow, weed, mulch, fertilize and so much more.
• Learn to diagnose insect, disease, and cultural/environmental turf and shrub conditions.
• Maintain open communication with management and clients to provide feedback on landscape needs.
• Drive, use, maintain and properly operate landscape equipment.

What We're Looking For:

• Love of the outdoors
• Required: Demonstrated experience corrdinating and leading a landscape crew
• Required: Minimum 3 years of recent and professional landscape experience
• Required: Valid drivers license
• Preferred: Background in Horticulture or Landscaping
• Preferred: Turf, Weed, Tree and shrub ID knowledge
• Must have strong communication skills with high attention to detail
• Must work well with others and have a positive attitude
• Ability to complete the Davey landscape career development books upon hire
• Ability to complete the Davey first aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
