Job summary

Horizon West Landscape is seeking a Project Manager to lead West Florida construction projects from award to closeout. You will own each job's budget and schedule and serve as the main contact for general contractor partners, reporting to the Director of Construction Operations.

You will manage multiple jobs, coordinate start dates and sequencing with GC partners, direct field crews, and review submittals, RFIs, and material orders.

Qualifications

• 4+ years managing commercial landscape, irrigation, or site work projects.
• Ability to read landscape, irrigation, and civil plans and specifications, including takeoffs and blueprints.
• Working knowledge of job cost, scheduling, and change order management.
• Strong communication with general contractors, owners, and field crews.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Take over new jobs from the sales team and build the budget and schedule for each one.
• Manage multiple active projects and set priorities for crews and equipment.
• Coordinate start dates, sequencing, and site readiness with general contractors.
• Direct superintendents and foremen on crew planning, quality, and safety; step into superintendent role when needed.
• Review submittals, RFIs, and material orders with project administration and purchasing teams.
• Price, submit, and track change orders.
• Review job cost weekly and report cost to complete monthly.
• Approve monthly progress for billing and manage punch lists and closeout.
• Proactively recruit and hire foremen and crews in your geographic area; leverage industry contacts as needed.

Horizon West Landscape is a commercial landscape and irrigation installation company working with general contractors across Florida.

We install landscape, sod, hardscape, and irrigation on multifamily, commercial, hospitality, retail, medical, and other new construction projects.

About the role

What you bring

• 4 or more years managing commercial landscape, irrigation, or site work projects
• Ability to read landscape, irrigation, and civil plans and specifications, including takeoffs and blueprints
• Working knowledge of job cost, scheduling, and change order management
• Strong communication with general contractors, owners, and field crews
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record

Nice to have

• Degree in construction management, landscape architecture, horticulture, or a related field
• OSHA 30
• Experience with Aspire or similar project management software
• Knowledge of West Florida nurseries, suppliers, and general contractors
• Bilingual in English and Spanish
