Job summary

Alfred Benesch & Company is seeking a Landscape Architecture Design Intern to gain hands-on experience supporting projects from planning through presentation. You will work with our Design Team, assisting drafting, rendering, site surveys, and client presentations, while supporting workflows in AutoCAD, Photoshop, 3D modeling programs.

Your role includes site visits, documenting project details, and upholding high-quality standards while learning Benesch processes under mentorship.

Qualifications

• Actively pursuing a bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture or a related design field.
• Understanding of landscape terminology, plant materials, and installation techniques.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; moderate proficiency in Photoshop and 3D modeling programs.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to participate in site visits and travel to project locations as needed.
• Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and able to maintain high-quality standards in all work.
• Eagerness to learn from mentorship and actively contribute to real-world landscape architecture projects.

Responsibilities

• Support landscape architecture projects' planning, design, and presentation.
• Draft, render, and assist with site surveys for project delivery.
• Work closely with the Design Team and client presentations.
• Assist with workflows in AutoCAD, Photoshop, and 3D modeling programs.
• Participate in site visits and maintain project documentation and quality.
