Job summary

VITA Planning & Landscape Architecture, Inc. in Marin County, north of San Francisco, seeks a Landscape Architect/Designer with 3–5 years of professional experience for high-end recreation communities and urban mixed-use projects.

You will contribute from concept through construction documentation, develop site plans, create 3D models, and prepare presentations. A degree in landscape architecture or architecture is required; licensure is a bonus, with strong design, communication, and leadership

Qualifications

• A professional undergraduate or graduate degree or certificate from an accredited program in landscape architecture or architecture.
• 3-5 years of professional experience in a landscape architecture office.
• Strong design, problem solving, and communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Ability to lead, take initiative, and manage time effectively.
• Willingness to travel as projects require.
• Experience with schematic design, design development, and construction documents.
• Ability to collaborate with clients and consultants; supervise junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Design studies, sketches, and conceptual studies using hand drawing and digital media.
• 3D modeling
• Producing presentation graphics and presentations
• Assisting in construction drawings/documents (grading, planting, layout, details)
• Contributing to site development plans for development approval
• Collecting and analyzing data on site conditions
• Assisting in cost estimates and technical memos
• Attending meetings with clients and consultants; travel as needed
• Collaborating with senior designers and principals from concept to construction documents
