Job summary

Arterra Landscape Architects in San Francisco seeks a full-time Landscape Architect or Designer to join our team, working from concept through construction with support from a Senior Landscape Architect.

You will render studies, develop 3D models, and prepare design development documents while coordinating material choices and finishes and maintaining project files. A collaborative, design-forward studio culture awaits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional landscape architecture experience.
• BA/BS undergraduate degree.
• Familiar with Mac OS.
• Authorized to work in the US.

Job description

Arterra Landscape Architects is seeking a full-time Landscape Architect or Designer to join our team in San Francisco.

Arterra specializes in the creation of legacy residential landscapes, from urban settings to estates. We are focused on creative exploration and knowledge building and place a high importance on mentoring and developing the next generation of design leaders.

Landscape Architect/Designer Position:

• Works directly with Senior Landscape Architect on all phases of projects, from conceptual design through construction services
• Renders conceptual studies and develops 3D models
• Delivers product required for design development and construction documents
• Responsible for maintaining job files (paper and digital)
• Assists in identifying and sourcing materials, colors and finishes

Arterra keeps a 9/80 alternative work schedule with every other Friday off. We are a hybrid office, with and the option to WFH Tuesday and every other Thursday, subject to project demands.

Requirements for this Position:

• 3+ years of professional experience in landscape architecture
• BA/ BS undergraduate degree
• Familiar with Mac OS
• Authorized to legally work in the US

Qualities desired for this position:

• Creative, open-minded and innovative thinking, with a sophisticated design eye
• Fluent in conceptual sketching, formal hand drawing, CAD drafting and 3D rendering
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Working knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Sketch-up, Enscape & Vectorworks
• Knowledge of California plants
• Project management experience a bonus
